Bred and exhibited by W.J. and H. Mash, Chesham, the January 2021-born daughter of stock bull, Procters Mitsubishi out of Brockhurst Heavenly, shown by Jimmy McMillan, was also continental champion. It was on its second outing, having already claimed inter-breed champion at Hertfordshire County Show.

Standing reserve was the native champion Meonside Raven, a May 2021-born Beef Shorthorn heifer by Meonside King Kong, from Richard and Natasha Mann, Iken Hall Farms, Woodbridge.

Bought at Stirling in February from breeder Tom Bradley Farmer, along with seven other heifers to establish a Beef Shorthorn herd to run alongside their Yarn Hill Lincoln Red herd, Raven is in-calf to stock bull, Running Mill Reggie, also bought at Stirling. Mr Jempson said his champion was a lovely, sweet heifer which was true to type and walked very well.

The Manns also claimed the reserve native championship with their Lincoln Red champion heifer, Iken Hall Acora B971.

The reserve continental and junior bull champion was Wissington Trent by Wissington Observer, from J. and J. Rix, Colchester.
