A Beltex ewe hogg headed up Stuart Wood’s online sale of pedigree female sheep when Woodies Little Bo Peep was knocked down for £5,900

Sired by the Mellor Vale King Kong ram that bred last year's 50,000gns Lurg ram lamb, it is out of Kingeldores Felicity from the Inverurie-based flock and sold to Charlie and Rosie Boden, Mellor Vale flock, Stockport.

Next at £2,700 selling to an undisclosed buyer was Tywi Keep Calm, a 2024-born Kingledores Engleburt daughter bred by Ioan Jones. Out of Tywi Eve, is scanned withÌý a single to Mellor Vale King Kong.

Another hogg, Woodies Lightening, made £2,600 to an undisclosed buyer. It is also by the King Kong ram but out of Woodies Groovy Baby.

At £2,400 was Woodies Kylie, by Dean V/H Vrijbos, which sold to Shields Farming Co, Morpeth, carrying twins to Mellor Vale King Kong.

Co Donegal's Messrs Robinson paid £2,300 for the 2022-born Lipley Hotstuff, scanned with two to the Mellor Vale ram. It is an Ardstewart Fred Flintstone daughter bred by Liam Swinnerton.

Two Beltex gimmers sold to Messrs Sinclair, Heriot, for £1,800 and £1,700. Dearest was Woodies Kool Chick, a Heatheryhall Jumanji daughter carrying a single to King Kong, while at £1,700 was the Toddhall Happy Feet-sired Woodies Kimberlee that scanned a pair to Vicky's Gladiator.

Messrs Hunter, Banffshire, paid £2,400 for the dearest Blue Texel, Saltire Blue Just the Job, a gimmer by a Quarry View ram out of Saltire Blue Freestyle. It sold carrying twins to Little Whiskers Knuckles.

Messrs Hunter paid a further £1,300 for Cairnrock Jodie, a Caryl's Blues Cocky Lad-sired Blue Texel gimmer from the guest consignment from Messrs Lammie. It sold carrying twins to Cairnrock Kicking Ass.

Dutch Texels hit £1,500 for a Hercules-sired Woodies gimmer scanned a pair to the Mellor Vale ram. It sold to Shields Farming Co.
