It was the reserve junior champion, Goldies University, from Bruce Goldie and family, Mouswald, which secured the breed's top price of the day.

An embryo calf by AI sire Ampertaine Elgin, it was knocked down to A.J. Maclean, Isle of Tiree.

Snatching the next top price of 13,000gns was another from the Goldie consignment, senior champion, Perth Umberto, which Mr Goldie bought as a yearling from Sion Wyn Jones, Bangor.

The Ampertaine Foreman son, out of Millbrow Misty sold to Wester Kinloch Farms, Perth.

Senior champion, Perth Umberto, from Bruce Goldie, Mouswald, which sold for 13,000gns to Wester Kinloch Farms, Perth.

Next at 12,000gns was the reserve overall and reserve intermediate champion, Maraiscote Uhlala from Ian Nimmo, Wishaw.

By the 50,000gns Bassingfield Machoman, it went home with A. and M. Buchanan, Oban.

Mike and Lisa Massie, Ellon, achieved 11,500gns for Elrick Ultra, one of the first sons from the 16,000gns Maraiscote Ribery. It was knocked down to G. Mcclanachan and Son, Dumfries.

Three bulls sold to a high of 11,000gns. The first was Dyke Usher, an April 2023-born bull from Donald MacGregor, Milton of Campsie.

By the 12,000gns Goldies Lordoftherings which has bred bulls to 17,000gns, it sold to R. Dunlop and Son, Ayrshire.

Next at this money was the overall and intermediate champion, Anside Utwo from Martin and Melanie Irvine, Drummuir.

By Anside Orton, the champion is full brother to the 12,000gns Anside Shockwave and was knocked down to T.L. Stirling, Carrbridge.

The third bull to make 11,000gns was another from the Irvine family, a Claragh Franco son, Anside Usher, which sold to W. Mclaren, Angus.

The next at this money was another from the Irvine consignment, a second prize bull Anside Ulises.

A heifer's calf by Anside Prometheus, which has sold sons to 17,000gns, it was male champion at Keith Show last year and was knocked down to B. Keir and Son, Alford.

Selling for 9,500gns was another from the Nimmo family, Maraiscote Umpire. Out of Maraiscote Firtree which has bred sons to 16,000gns, it sold to the Scottish Government Bull Stud, Knocknagael.

Four bulls sold for 8,500gns. The first was from Nick Gent and Adele Chester, Irvine, with Delnic Umptydumpty, a Nanthir Oswald son, which sold to G. Mackie, Crieff.

The second at this money was another from the MacGregor consignment, Dyke Upstart.

The second calf out of Dyke Patsy and another Goldies Lordoftherings son, it was knocked down to J.A. Lambie and Son, Perthshire.

The third bull to make 8,5000gns was yet another from the MacGragor family's line-up, Dyke United. By Whinfell Park Ohagan, which has bred sons to 11,000gns, it went home with J.W. Kay, Ayr.

Newhouse Underwriter from the Adam family, Forfar, was the final bull at this money.

One of the first calves by Intack Solomon, which the family bought for 12,000gns from Carlisle in 2022, it was knocked down to J. and J. Wylie, Crossford.

Averages: 50 bulls, £7,333 (-£133 on 2024).
