CropTec 2023 to go ahead at new venue following East of England Showground closure

This year’s CropTec Show will go ahead at a new venue after the East of England Showground announced it would close for redevelopment.

After 10 successful years at the East of England Showground, Agriconnect, the organisers of the leading technical arable event, will find a new venue after the East of England Show Ground today (February 2) confirmed that its owners AEPG (Asset Earning Power Group) would be submitting a planning application to redevelop the site into new homes and a leisure complex.

"After many successful years, we will be relocating to a new facility that will continue to serve our exhibitors and visitors and provide even more opportunities following the success of the 10th anniversary show in November 2022 at the East of England Showground," said CropTec event manager Verity Hyland.

CropTec 2023 is planned to take place on Wednesday 29 to Thursday 30 November 2023 and organisers said they were excited to take the event to a new home.

Ms Hyland said her team was working to ensure a ’seamless transition’ to the new venue and thanked supporters for their understanding and patience.

Head of Operations at CropTec, Justine Sumner, said: "Our team is dedicated to providing the same high-quality service and experience that you have come to expect from us. The CropTec team are excited by the next chapter and the opportunities it presents, and look forward to welcoming you to the new location."

The team will issue an update as soon as a new location is found.
