New potato body opens to members

Subscriptions for GB Potatoes, one of the new potato industry organisations formed to replace AHDB Potatoes have gone live.

Grower members’ payments will be based on hectarage, while packers and processors will contribute per tonne on purchased tonnage.

The new organisation aims to become the single point of contact for Government and regulators; provide platforms for members to work in partnership on projects including blight and aphid monitoring programmes and provide forums for the whole industry to tackle current challenges.
