Leading the trade at 17,000gns at the British Blue Cattle Society sale at Carlisle was first prize winner, Pendle Umpire from A.M. and E. Hartley, Nelson

Pendle Umpire, an April 2024 naturally born son of Hallfield Panther out of Pendle O Witchy, was knocked down to Messrs Wainwright, Cupar, Fife, topping the sale at 17,000gns.Ìý

Next making 14,000gns was another first prize winner, Solway View Ussainbolt, a January 2024-born bull by Engin d Hontoir out of Solway View Netty consigned by Maulscastle Farming, Annan. The buyer was Messrs Hill, Riding Mill.

The pre-sale show champion, Auchenlay Upbeat, a January 20240-born son of Sandyvale Jagerbomb out of Auchenlay IO from R. and M. Paterson, Dunblane, which had been male champion at the 2025 Royal Highland Show, sold for 12,000gns to an undisclosed buyer.

Three bulls sold for 10,000gns. The first, also from Messrs Paterson, was Auchenlay Utopia, an ET full-brother to the champion, which went home with Messrs Sedgley, Carnforth.

Next at 10,000gns was another bull from Messrs Hartley, Pendle UPanther, a February 2024-born son of Hallfield Panther out of Pendle Ruby, which sold to Messrs Stevenson, Girvan.
The final bull at 10,000gns was Littlebank Uncle Sam, a June 2024-born bull by Sandyvale Jagerbomb out of Littlebank Nikita consigned by H.R. and W.J. Maudsley, Rathmell. It was knocked down to Messrs Scrivin and Son, Skipton.

Females topped at 6,000gns for 12-month-old Solway View Valentine, a heifer by Topgun Splash out of Solway View Perfect, which had been overall junior champion at the Stars of the Future Calf Show, consigned by Maulscaste Farming,

It sold to Messrs Mountain, North Rigton, who also paid 5,000gns for the reserve female champion, 13-month-old Solway View Uaki, by Solway View Dynamite out of Solway View Kesha, from the same home.
