A spokesperson for the UoN said: "We have taken the decision to suspend a small number of courses where demand is low or where they are not meeting the benchmark against a number of other criteria.Ìý

"Closure and creation of courses is a normal part of how we evolve as a university. It allows us to adapt our portfolio so that students - and the global workforce - gain the skills, knowledge, and adaptability needed for the future.ÌýÌý

"The Faculty of Science will not be suspending a significant number of courses but has taken the decision to pause a small number of undergraduate and MSci courses, the majority of which are from the School of Biosciences. Much of the content from the specific courses identified is covered in other broader degrees within Science.Ìý Ìý

"We will do everything we can to minimise the impact on students to ensure they meet their learning outcome."Ìý
