Leading the trade for Aberdeen-Angus bulls at 18,000gns was Tonley Errol A187, from Neil and Mark Wattie, Alford, Aberdeenshire.
The May 2024-born son of Kilmauag Eriskay, which was bought privately, out of Tonley Evora X832, a Tonley Jester Eric S318 daughter, had been champion at three local shows during summer. The buyers were D. and K. Graham, Lockerbie.
Next, at 12,500gns, giving Andrew Shepherd, Fochabers, his best price to date, was January 2024-born Orbliston Prince Columbus A307.
One of the first sons of Orbliston Blacksmith X253 to be sold and out of Orbliston Princess Cheryl X236, it was knocked down to J.D. Steele, Pitroddie.

Selling for 11,000gns was McCornick North A142, an April 2024-born bull by Duncanziemere Jupiter Y470 out of McCornick Nelita Y911 consigned by Martin McCornick, Newton Stewart, which sold to William Barnetson, Wick.

Five bulls sold for 10,000gns. The first at this money was the reserve junior and reserve overall champion, February 2024-born Rulesmains Platinum A938 by Blelack Prince Camelot W017, which had been male and overall reserve breed champion at this year's Royal Highland Show. Consigned by Andrew Hodge, Duns, it sold to F.T. Walton, Morpeth.
Auchincrieve Ethnic A096, a bull from the first crop of Auchincrieve Lord Incubus X753 from C. and E. McCombie, Rothiemay, was the next to make 10,000gns when selling to Messrs Foubister, Orkney.
George and Nikki Taylor, Blackburn, West Lothian, then also took 10,000gns for their March 2024-born red bull, Mosshall Red Simba A649, a son of Mosshall Red Quintin W113, which was knocked down to R.E.C. Glass, Dinnett, Aboyne.
The junior and overall champion, Drumhill Express Root A883, an April 2024-born bull by Galcantray Jedi Eric V287, was next at 10,000gns. Bred by Jonathan and Lisa Doyle, Cookstown, Northern Ireland, and bought out by Richard Rettie, it sold to Seafield Pedigrees, Redditch.
The final bull to make 10,000gns was Keirsbeath Proud Juggernaut A610, the first son of the 2023 Aberdeen-Angus national show champion, Kilmallie Juggernaut, to be sold. Consigned by Caroline Orr, Dunfermline, it sold to T.M. Strang and Co, Dundee.

Logie dispersal tops at 16,000gns
The dispersal of the Logie Aberdeen-Angus herd on behalf of A.J.R. Farms, Ellon, Aberdeenshire, peaked at 16,000gns for the stock bull, four-year-old Blelack Equinox X115 by Netherallan Peter Pershore E052, which was knocked down to Balavil Estate, Inverness.
Females sold to 12,000gns for five-year-old Logie Ermine W042, a Cardona Jeweliot daughter, in-calf to Blelack Equinox X115, which sold to Halbeath Farm, Dunfermline.
Next, at 10,500gns, was six-year-old Logie Jacaranda Erica V976 by Moncur Jester Eric, also in-calf to Equinox, which went to Messrs Murdoch, Peterhead.
