This exciting addition to the annual awards shines a spotlight on the next generation of farmers and their contributions to the sector.
The Young BFAs feature four categories that highlight the exceptional achievements and dedication of young individuals in farming.

They are:
- Young Farmers Club of the Year: A celebration of a Young Farmers Club that has gone above and beyond in supporting its local community or raising significant funds for a charity.
- Farmers Guardian's Young Farming Hero: A young farmer who has demonstrated exceptional support to their family farm or made significant contributions to their local community.
- Young Handler of the Year: An upcoming champion in the show ring. The Young BFAs is looking for a young handler who consistently excels in the show ring and actively participates in rearing the livestock that is showcased. - Young Innovator of the Year: Are you a budding inventor or engineer in the making? This award recognises a young innovator who has a brilliant idea to make farming more efficient. Please note* Juniors: six years-old to 10 years-old. Seniors includes 11-16 years-old)
Young farmers
The young BFAs offer an opportunity for young individuals to showcase their passion, creativity and dedication to the agricultural industry. The Young BFAs aim to inspire and encourage the next generation of farmers, innovators and leaders.
Sarah Whittaker-Smith, event director of the British Farming Awards, expressed her excitement about the Young BFAs. The Young BFAs will be announced during the highly anticipated British Farming Awards event, hosted by Farmers Guardian, but the successful young entrants and their parents will be invited to an awards ceremony taking place prior to the main event.
