Holstein young breeders shave hair for charity

Nearly 拢5,000 has been raised by two young Holstein breeders who shaved their hair off for charity at the All Breeds All Britain calf show.

Kyle Scott, 13, who is a member of the Scottish Holstein Young Breeders, shaved off his mullet-style hairstyle alongside Andrew McRae, 20, who is on a Holstein exchange from Australia in a bid to raise money for the charity close to their hearts.听听听

鈥楾he big shave' took place on the Saturday evening of the calf show.听听

The pair initially had a 拢500 fundraising target, but they surpassed this and have raised 拢4,478 so far.听听

Kyle, whose grandfather, Billy, died of cancer in 2022, said he wanted to raise money for those involved in the Holstein community who have battled the disease.听
