Scotsheep event returns with packed line-up

Preparations for NSA Scotsheep are in full swing at Over Finlarg Farm, near Dundee, as the McNee family get set to open their gates to visitors for the one day event on Wednesday June 1, 2022.

Scotsheep is among events making a welcome return to the calendar this year, where sheep farmers and stakeholders can look forward to packed schedule including competitions, working demonstrations seminars and workshops.

Organised by the Scottish region of the National Sheep Association (NSA), the event will pose the opportunity to hear from industry figures as well as browse between more than 200 commercial, educational, sheep breed society and individual sheep breeder stands.

Host

The event this year will take place at Over Finlarg Farm, near Dundee, the home of Robert and Hazel McNee and their young family.

51AV视频tours will be running throughout the day, giving visitors an opportunity to take in more of the setting.

Event chairman Willy Millar, who farms at Huntingfaulds, Tealing, says: 鈥淎fter a difficult period of no events in the farming calendar, Robert and Hazel, along with the NSA Scotland and the local organising committee, are really looking forward to welcoming farmers, enthusiasts and school children to Over Finlarg.

鈥淭he farm is in a great location and will be of interest to all involved within the agricultural sector. We hope to welcome as many of you as possible to this major Scottish farming event.鈥

Carbon audit

Visitors will also be offered an insight into conducting a full carbon audit on-farm, with the event鈥檚 major sponsor, Virgin Money, having collaboratively initiated a carbon audit of Over Finlarg, to be conducted by

Carbon Metrics 鈥 the results of which will be revealed in a seminar at 1pm on the day.
