There is a lot that the country may not know about farming, and telling farmers' stories is more important than ever for consumer connection

#farm24 is about consumer connection, but if you had the chance to tell the nation one thing about British farming, what would it be?

This year we have an array of ambassadors from all walks of life, who will help to showcase the world of agriculture to the nation.

But if they had one chance to tell a consumer something about farming, what would they say?

Farmer Will

British farming is world leading in food safety and environmental standards.

We produce the best and highest quality food you can trust.

It is one of the most important jobs - you need famers three times a day.

Charlotte Ashley

We are custodians of the landscape.

While we are here, it is our job to improve the little patch of land we are lucky enough to live on.

But I would implore people to look at the difference we make to global emissions.

Damian Barson

It is early mornings and long days and doing everything you can to care for your animals and the land.

British farming is something we should be proud of – we all rely on farmers.

The animas rely on us every single day, no matter how tough it gets and when you see them healthy and thriving, it makes it all worthwhile.

Rebecca Wilson

Something that is misrepresented is the fact that we do not douse the countryside in chemicals or blanket treat our animals with antibiotics.

We work with an agronomist on the arable side and a vet with the sheep.

Any product used is when it is needed and at the right dosage.

We work to stringent withdrawal rules so that none of these products get into the food chain.

We launchedÌý #farm24 at 51AVÊÓƵFest, where the Clarkson's 51AVÊÓƵteam headlined. Take a look at the video:

Rossett 51AVÊÓƵPark

We have some of the most hardworking, dedicated farmers in the world and we uphold some of the highest and most stringent regulations in the world, doing the best job possible looking after the environment and animals in harmony.

We are not destroying the planet. We are growing food to feed a growing population.

It is not more environmentally friendly to fly food in from other countries - if you buy in food from abroad, they do not follow the same regulations as we do here.

Tom Carlisle

British farming is the best in the world in terms of traceability, sustainability and innovation.

Now is the time to take food production seriously.

Coco Jalloh

I will always highlight the community.

It is such a lovely bubble to be a part of because there are so many issues facing faming and we all come together to support each other during such times.

The other misrepresentation is the stereotype of what or who a farmer is in 2026 – it could be a woman, someone from a diverse background or someone who is neurodiverse.

There are so many new entrants making their way through who do not look the stereotypical farmer, but this is not portrayed in the mainstream media.

Everyone and anyone can be a farmer.
