Farmers in Suffolk have said they are dealing with 'severe economic losses' due to current restrictions on the movement of livestock
“We appreciate the impact restrictions can have on farmers. We are committed to working with everyone affected"
Farmer-led group will have 'significant influence' says Rural Affairs Minister
"It moves me to tears hearing how challenging it is for our farmers at the minute dealing with this awful virus"
The Government said there have also been two further cases in North East Lincolnshire
"Unfortunately it was just a matter of time for it to reach Lincolnshire"
Defra also confirmed seven new cases of the virus have been reported in the 'Restriction Zone' over the weekend
APHA confirmed the case was detected at a farm near Withernsea on Wednesday (September 4)
"There is good evidence that mortality rates are lower and livestock show reduced clinical signs of the disease when they have had the vaccine"
"Please be aware that things are changing quickly"
