Partner Insight Podcast: The Platinum Ten Minutes - why the moments after a farm accident matter most

Farming accounts for around 20% of UK workplace deaths despite making up just 1% of the workforce. When something goes wrong on farm, emergency services can be miles away and people nearby rarely know what to do.

That gap is where lives are lost.

In the first episode of our FarmersAid series, in partnership with RABI, Professor Stuart Maitland-Knibb, a consultant in pre-hospital emergency medicine who has spent years working in rural and farming emergencies, explains why the first few minutes after a serious accident are where survival is decided, what stops people from acting, and what can be done about it.

This episode coincides with the launch of RABI's FarmersAid app, designed to guide you through serious on-farm emergencies while you wait for help to arrive. It works offline, it's free, and it could save a life.
