New muck management event to focus on slurry and nutrient efficiency

A new specialist event focused on slurry and organic manure management will launch in North Wales this June, bringing together live machinery demonstrations, technical forums and trade exhibitors for livestock farmers and contractors.

Muck Management UK takes place at Bodrhyddan Hall, North Wales on 3-4 June 2026 and will focus on improving nutrient use efficiency, storage, handling and application as farms face increasing pressure from rising input costs and tighter environmental regulation.

Supported by ADAS Technical Forum, the event will feature technical sessions with speakers from organisations including ADAS, NFU Cymru, Bangor University, AHDB, the Environment Agency and the NAAC. Topics will include manure storage, slurry separation, nutrient partitioning, air quality and low-emission application techniques.

Live demonstrations will feature nine machines operating three times daily, including slurry tankers, trailing shoe applicators, self-propelled spreaders and grassland equipment from manufacturers including Vredo, Holmer, Bauer and Richard Western. One-day tickets cost £25 including VAT and include access to demonstrations, forums, exhibitors and parking.
