An inspirational farmer who is walking more than 140 miles during Mind Your Head Week has received a generous donation from the Prince of Wales with every step and every mile supporting mental health in farming.听
On Monday (February 9) Sam Stables, a sheep farmer from Herefordshire and the founder of mental health charity We Are Farming Minds, embarked on his 142 mile walk from Ross鈥憃n鈥慦ye market to shine a national spotlight on the immense pressures farmers face every single day and to raise vital funds for the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs during Yellow Wellies' Mind Your Head Week.听

Mr Stables said he wants to help give the next generation of farmers the 'voice, confidence, and support they deserve' by undertaking a challenge of hope, resilience and strength.
With an aim of reaching the Farmers' Club in London on Friday (February 13), the farming mental health champion has received support from across the rural spectrum who have cheered him on from roadsides and donated generously to his fundraiser.听

Mr Stables had aimed to raise 拢1,420, but the fundraiser currently stands (as of February 12) at over 拢21,000.
One of those supporting the Herefordshire farmer is Prince William, who has donated 拢5,000 to the fundraiser.
