100% British ketchup created after Clarkson's 51AVÊÓƵhighlights gap in the market

Condimaniac has succeeded in creating a 100% British ketchup after Jeremy Clarkson's Farmer's Dog pub was unable to provide punters with the condiment due to not being able to find a 100% British version.

In the latest season of Clarkson's 51AVÊÓƵon Amazon Prime Video, Mr Clarkson and co are shown opening his pub, with the mission of selling only produce which is 100% grown in Britain.

While Mr Clarkson has been applauded for his efforts to support British farmers, it has led to some challenges with ingredients, including no coca cola, no coffee and no ketchup.

Following the show, Condimaniac, an artisan sauce manufacturer, took up the challenge of making a truly British ketchup.

After starting the challenge as ‘a bit of fun', millions of people have interacted with the video series online.

And Condimaniac has now confirmed it has succeeded in making a completely homegrown ketchup.

It used Isle of Wight tomato passata with British Sugar, British grown onions and carrots, apple cider vinegar from Hampshire and salt from Essex.

"These last few weeks has been absolutely wild," Condimaniacs said on Instagram.

They had even been contacted by the pub, telling them to ‘keep up the good work' with their quest.

The next step was to take a bottle of the first batch to the Farmer's Dog to see if they like it.
