Hollywood hardman Vinnie Jones confirms farming programme is back for a second series

Vinnie Jones has been praised for revealing his more sensitive side during the first season of the show, when he opened up about mental health, grief, farming, his passion for the countryside and raising money for the Farming Community Network.

The return of Vinnie Jones' popular farming and country life programme has been confirmed for a second series.

Documenting his attempts at renovating a 'knackered' Sussex farm in Petworth, the Hollywood hardman has confirmed Vinnie Jones in the Country will be back for a second series later this year.

After showing his more sensitive side during the first season of the show, when he opened up about mental health, grief, farming, his passion for the countryside and raising money for the Farming Community Network, Mr Jones enthusiastically told fans of the show he was currently filming another instalment of the programme.

Earlier this year, he portrayed the affable gamekeeper of Geoff Seacombe in Guy Ritchie's The Gentleman for Netflix, in a mock copy of his real-life interest in country pursuits and farming.Ìý

The FA Cup winner with Wimbledon was recently praised for encouraging football fans to talk about their mental health in an advert for mobile company Three which partnered alongside Chelsea star Cole Palmer and the Samaritans Charity.ÌýÌý

He said: "We have got a problem.

"A problem with talking about how we are feeling.

"We do not talk about our emotions, we would rather talk about football, day in and day out.

"But we forget sometimes we need to talk about other things too.

"We are all team mates on the same side.

"I am talking about the millions of fans up and down the country.

"They are all your team mates, and team mates look out for each other, they listen to each other, and that could save a life."

Vinnie Jones in the CountryÌýwill return to Discovery+ later this year.
