Jeremy Clarkson has reported that 11 sheep have gone missing from his farm, after discovering only 16 of his EasyCare sheep, featured in the Amazon Prime television show, remained in the field.

Speaking to The Sun, Mr Clarkson said the police were investigating and had been ‘very good'.

He said: "Once you go through 700 hours of recorded messages, I got through to a girl.

"I said, ‘I know it's going to sound like I am from 1856, but I have had some sheep stolen'.

The theft was discovered when Mr Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper were counting the sheep, adding the sheep were worth over £2,000.

The theft also took place at a time when the film crew were not present.

He added there was ‘no other explanation' than theft, with no carcases present, no sheep droppings in the woods and the sheep not on neighbouring farms.
