Sir Mark has confirmed his intention to campaign for re-election as an MP at the next General Election.
The Conservative MP for Sherwood and Farming Minister announced his decision to stand for re-election in the Nottinghamshire based seat following Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's confirmation that UK voters would head to the polls on July 4.
Mr Sunak made the statement to the public yesterday (May 22) in which he told voters it would be a choice between himself and the Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer.

The Farming Minister was first elected as MP for Sherwood in 2010 and had served as a county councillor and district councillor before that.
He has already retained the seat on four occasions, winning an increased majority each time from voters.听听
Sir Mark has held the position of Farming Minister since being appointed by former Prime Minister Liz Truss since September 2022.
Additionally, he has held positions including Leader of the House of Commons and Chief Whip of the House of Commons.听
Announcing the decision, he said: "As someone who lives in Sherwood, went to school here, raised my family here and who has run a local business here alongside my family, I could not have asked for a better job to have, serving my local community.
"I am standing as the Conservative candidate for the new Sherwood Forest seat and I ask for your support once again to continue delivering investment for our area.
"I have a track record of delivering for you and your families, and it is one I hope to continue with your support."
