Sheep dogs sell to £8,700 online

The entry of 142 working sheep dogs and pups at the online sale hosted by Farmers Marts (R.G. Jones), Dolgellau, topped at £8,700 for Gelli Rod

The two-year-old dog from D.M. Howells, Port Talbot, sold to Pat and Michael Byrne, Ireland.
Making £7,400 was Tweeddale Niki, a two and a half year old bitch from D. Aiken, Peebles, which will be heading for a new home in the USA.

Glant Jan from Kevin Evans, Brecon, sold for £5,750 to an Italian buyer.


Topping the partly trained section at £7,700 was Jodi, a young bitch from M. Healy, Co Kerry, which went to a buyer from Llangadog.


Also in the partly trained section, Kemi Emma from Mr Evans sold for £5,150 to a Scottish buyer.

Pups old to £4,150 for Ikara Jen from N. Matthews, Ebbw Vale.
