A farming presenter and soap star has confirmed he will be attending an agricultural festival in Derbyshire this weekend.

Kelvin Fletcher will be speaking at Bakewell Country Festival on Sunday (July 16) in his role as an ambassador for the Peak District National Park Foundation (PDNPF).

The former Emmerdale actor, who played farmer Andy Sugden on the show for 20 years, will be joined at the festival's ‘talks stage' alongside Jen Lowthrop, chair of trustees for the PDNPF to speak about the Peak District National Park.

Audience members will have the opportunity to ask the actor, who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2019, questions about his role and passion for the countryside.

Mr Fletcher has appeared on BBC's ‘Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure' which followed his attempts at bringing a farm back to life alongside his family.
