THE top price of day of 6,000gns at the British Charolais Cattle Society sale at Welshpool went to David Thornley, Hartshorne, Derbyshire, with Dooley Pringo.Ìý
This 15-month-old bull by 31,000gns Whitecliffe Highlight, out of the Blelack Digger daughter, Balnuith Honesty, sold to H. Edwards, Corwen.
From the same home, Dooley Polo sold for the second top price of 5,200gns. By Balmyle Nathan, this 14-month-old bull went home with D. J. Cleland, Hereford.
Three bulls sold for 5,000gns apiece. The first was 19-month-old Wissington Philippo by Davally Igloo from J. Rix, Essex, which was knocked down to P. Edwards and Co, Mid Glamorgan.
Next at this money was May 2019-born Esgob Prince from G. M. Jones, Gwynedd. The son of Caylers Hustler sold to A. C. and D.T. Hughes, Pwllheli.
The last to sell at 5,000gns was May 2019-born Belan Persistence by Tweedale Marcus consigned by J.S. Abel, Cwmbelan. The buyer was I. Davies, Tredegyr Newydd.
Another bull from the Dooley herd, August 2019-born Dooley Purdy, again by Whitecliffe Highlight, made 4,800gns to Meistri Williams, Ynys Mon.
