This year's inter-breed sheep title went to the Dutch Spotted breed, with Dale and Robbie Wilson, Radnorshire, taking top honours with their shearling ram.
The title winner is out of Cnwch Fflur De Lys, which itself won the aged ewe class at the show. The flock gained four red tickets overall in the Dutch Spotted section. 鈥�听
The most local breed to the showground, the Beulah Speckled Face, was awarded the reserve title with a home-bred yearling ewe from the Jones family, Blaenbloddau.听This ewe was reserve in last year's ewe lamb championship at the Welsh fixture.
Local judge, Mervyn Price, Builth Wells said: "My champion was excellent to handle with excellent legs. While the reserve was a tremendous example of the breed and had good colouring." 听听
Also in the judge's final shortlist was the Brecknock Hill Cheviot, Bluefaced Leicester, Suffolk and Charollais.听听
Residing a stone's throw away from the showground, the Brecknock Hill Cheviot from the Joseph family, Llyswen placed champion with their aged ram, which they purchased for 5,500gns from the Thomas family, Aberdyfnant, Carmarthen. The Josephs also took champion and reserve male breed championships and reserve champion with their Torddu Badger Face Welsh Mountain.听
In the Bluefaced Leicester section, Carwyn and Maria Richards, Carmarthen won the breed championship with their home-bred crossing type yearling from their 12-ewe Mcffi flock. This was the ewe's first trip out since claiming a second place at the Royal Highland Show as a lamb. Sired by SI Temain, it is out of a home-bred ewe.听听
Arnie Oare, who last year won the inter-breed title with his Suffolk, won the breed title this year with a yearling ewe Groes Gucci. This was the first outing for the ewe, which is sired by Pyeston Ghost which was Suffolk male champion at last year's show. 鈥�听
In the Charollais ring, Aidrian Davies, Llandeilo and his sons Harry and Ifan come up trumps with their home-bred yearling ewe, from their Glyn Coch flock. The Moelfryn Bouncer daughter is out of a Logie Durno Wall Street ewe and placed first in its class and reserve breed champion as a lamb at the show last year.听
In other inter-breed judging, the ram lamb championship was awarded to Carmarthenshire breeders, the Jones family who run the Beili Blues Blue Texel flock.听听
No strangers to the Royal Welsh show ring, they took the same award in 2023. This year's winner was a son of Etrick Firefly and is out of a Hackney-bred ewe. This tops off a successful week for the family, who also took the male and female champion titles in the breed judging.听
Pembrokeshire based judge, Eirlys Jones said: "My champion was very correct, not too powerful and had excellent locomotion."听
Reserve ram lamb was a Beulah Speckled Face from the Richards family, Lampeter. The February born lamb is part of their 100-ewe registered flock and is sired by a ram bred by the Jones family, Tymawr, Builth Wells.听
In the inter-breed ewe lamb judging, Ms Jones awarded the championship to Aled Groucott, Gwent with his March-born Beltex lamb, which is sired by a Logie Durno ram and out of a Lipley-bred ewe.听
Another Gwent breeder, Ben Baker, saw a March-born North Country Cheviot lamb from his BB flock place reserve. Sired by Belmaduthy Estevez, it is out of a home-bred ewe.听
In the Texel section, young breeder, Gerallt Rowlands, Trawsfynydd, stood in the champion spot with a Hexel-bred yearling ewe. The ewe is out of a Procters Chumba Wumba daughter which is full sister to the 60,000gns Hexel Django. Purchased at Lanark in January for just 500gns, this Strathbogie Gladiator sired ewe is part of his 18-head Traws flock and has won at nine shows this year.听听

Father and son team, Geraint and Rhys Williams, Lampeter, did the double in the Blue Texel championship, taking both champion and reserve. Their winner was a yearling ewe from their 35-head Dragons flock is home-bred on both sides and has been unbeaten this season. They took reserve with a yearling ram.听听
Another breeder to win both champion and reserve in their section was Club Forest exhibitor Mike Eckley, Hay-On-Wye. The champion, a two-year-old ram named Sarnsfield Goldust was bred by the Lloyd family, Hereford, while they took the reserve ticket with a ewe. This was the first time Mr Eckley had taken breed champion and reserve, a particularly pleasing feat in the breed's centenary year.听
In the Badger Face Welsh Mountain Torddu section, Kay Richardson, Gwent won the breed championship for the first time with a home-bred yearling ewe.听听
Well-known Beltex breeder, Aled Groucott, Gwent swept up in the Beltex section winning champion and reserve with entries from his Swffryd听 flock. The champion was his home-bred yearling ram, Swffryd听 Kickass. Its dam is one of the last Hackney Treacle daughters. Later in the year he will be heading to the Premier Beltex sale in Lockerbie. Mr Groucott also won the Rogue section with an aged ram, Millcroft Barosaurus.听听
