Young auctioneer and farmer's son, Sion Roberts, from Carmarthenshire, has not taken the traditional path of working full time on the family farm.Ìý

Following a course in rural enterprise and land management at Harper Adams University, he has started a graduate job at Clee Tompkinson and Francis, and he shares his journey from graduation to selling on the plank every week.Ìý

Young Farmers has proved invaluable to Sion, who says the federation has built his confidence to deal with farmers' business day to day. And for someone who has only been in the job for a few years, Sion oozes professionalism and natural ability.

Zanna Dennis from the Livestock Auctioneers Association (LAA) also joins us in this episode to explain how the association supports the next crop of auctioneers.
