Stewart Trailers' new Legend range

Stewart Trailers is set for a return to LAMMA with the launch of its Legend range of trailers. Intended to supersede the manufacturer's best-selling GX range of trailers, the Legend range will carry all the GX range standard features while incorporating several safety features.

Camera

These include a wireless reversing camera with in-cabin display claimed to offer the driver full visibility at the rear of the trailer. The manufacturer has also incorporated an audible alarm that sounds when the rear door is closing to warn bystanders to keep clear.

Alongside its additional safety features, the new trailer range will also incorporate wheel nut indicators and spray mud flaps at the front of the trailer body.

Lighting

A new lighting kit and wiring system have been integrated into the Legend models, and are designed to activate the four side lights as indicators. The manufacturer claims rear multifunctional lighting and powerful LED work lights offer highly visible trailer illumination in all conditions. Front and rear marker lights have been mounted on rubber stalks.

Design

Stewart's design engineers have made a number of changes to the front end of the trailer, with the chassis' laser cut design incorporating drawbar mounts.

Changes to the spring drawbar design also claim to offer a wider range of height adjustments compared to the previous design.

Further changes include design developments, such as the lower section of the ladder folding up and out of the way when not in use. When stowed away in its stored position, the manufacturer claims keeping the ladder above head height will reduce the risk of accidents during tipping.
