LAMMA show postponed until May 2022

LAMMA Show organisers have announced that next year鈥檚 event will move from January to May in response to the evolving Covid-19 situation.

, which was due to take place on January 11-12 at the NEC, Birmingham, will now be held at the same venue on May 4-5.

All plans for the 40th anniversary edition of the show will be carried over to the spring edition, where more than 600 exhibitors will be on hand to welcome thousands of visitors.

LAMMA is owned by , the parent company of Farmers Guardian.

Sanjeev Khaira, Agriconnect director, said: 鈥淥ver the past few days, we have seen a significant increase in the uncertainty of COVID-19 regulations. We have built robust health and safety plans for the LAMMA 2022 event.

"However, with distribution and supply chain challenges and the potential lockdowns or restrictions, we are all uncertain about how the situation will look in January.

"After speaking with many of our exhibitors and attendees, we have taken the challenging decision to postpone.鈥

Like many events, the 2021 edition of LAMMA was cancelled due to the havoc caused by the pandemic.

Kate Walsh, LAMMA event manager, said the team was 鈥檚addened鈥 to make this decision, prompted by the Omicron surge, but she reiterated they were gearing up to deliver a bumper version of LAMMA 2022 on May 4-5.
